Visiting Speaker, Brian Codding from the University of Utah

Brian Codding from the University of Utah will be discussing his research, "Resource Acquisition Risk and the Division of Labor: Explaining the Ecological Origins of Australia's Desert Societies". In this talk, he will synthesize some of the results from the Martu project examining human-environment interactions, and then use these findings to help explain archaeological patterning leading up to the development of the distinct ethnographic societies observed in the Western Desert of Australia.
